JamQwest was a passion project between long-time friends, talked about for years before it was made possible with months of dedicated preparation and the help of local climbers and park officials. Set in Smith Rock Bend, JamQwest was shot over three days on location with a skeleton crew and a single camera.
One man's journey to jam where none have jammed before.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Visual effects were used sparingly, and only in instances where we determined they could work invisibly to help better the story. Sky replacements, logo removals, and a stylized color correction were completed using After Effects, Mocha, and DaVinci Resolve.
JamQwest debuted at Sharp and Red Cinema’s Art of Amazing where it won the Audience Award. For many involved, JamQwest represents the craziest thing we have done in our lives, and of getting over our shaking hands to make it, we couldn’t be more proud.
